Job Description

A nursing opportunity is available in North Pole, Alaska, focusing on sub-acute and long-term care. This full-time, contract position offers flexible scheduling with three 12-hour shifts, including both day and night options. Weekend, holiday, and on-call duties are required on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physical, psychological, social, and cultural patient needs.
  • Review patient history and collaborate with families to ensure timely completion of care plans.
  • Analyze diagnostic and laboratory data, escalating abnormal results to physicians and caregivers.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating multidisciplinary team input.
  • Address discharge planning, education, and patient-specific goals with measurable outcomes.
  • Consider holistic patient factors including spiritual, developmental, and educational needs.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years professional experience.
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
