An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant nursing within an oncology/hematology setting. This contract position is located in Noblesville, IN, offering a structured night shift schedule to experienced and compassionate nursing professionals.
Responsibilities include providing expert care to hematology and bone marrow transplant patients, managing complex medication regimens such as chemotherapy and hazardous drug administration, performing neuro assessments, and conducting central line dressing changes. The role also requires collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to ensure personalized, high-quality patient care consistent with best practices in critical care and oncology nursing.
Key qualifications and experience required:
- Valid RN license with certifications in BLS, ACLS, and ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy
- Experience in stepdown, critical care, or similar high-acuity settings
- Proficiency in blood administration, electrolyte replacement, and neuro assessments
- Comfort with ventilator management, infusion pumps, and advanced monitoring equipment
- Previous oncology/hematology and bone marrow transplant experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player, proactive in patient care, and respectful towards staff and patients
The work schedule includes night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, with every third weekend and holiday coverage; guaranteed weekly hours total 36 with 24 hours on weekends every third weekend. Floating to related units such as stepdown and critical care is expected. Orientation and mandatory education are provided to ensure seamless integration.
