Schedule/Hours:
- On-call per unit needs (with a 1-hour response time if called in)
- 36 hours per week not guaranteed; up to 12 hours of low-census per 2-week period possible
- Shifts may include weekends and holidays
Qualifications & Experience Sought:
- Current unencumbered OH RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg nursing experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- High-acuity unit mentor/charge RN experience
- Strong clinical assessment, care planning, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking abilities
Role and Core Duties:
- Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient assessments
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient-centered care plans
- Administer oral, IV, and injectable medications safely and accurately
- Monitor and document vital signs, interventions, and responses per policy
- Coordinate multidisciplinary collaboration for comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and discharge plans
- Provide postoperative care and watch for complications
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols
- Respond efficiently to emergency and crisis situations, including performing CPR
