Deliver specialized nursing care on a Surgical Stepdown Unit focused on post-operative patients requiring telemetry monitoring and advanced clinical skills. This travel opportunity is based in a vibrant Massachusetts city, offering experience with a diverse patient population recovering from surgeries including general, vascular, thoracic, and trauma. The position requires strong telemetry strip interpretation and ability to manage complex patient care devices, supporting optimal recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor telemetry strips closely and manage cardiac rhythms accurately.
• Provide care for patients with chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, epidurals, and capnography.
• Assist in arterial line management and neo-synephrine administration when applicable.
• Float between a 15-bed medical/surgical unit and an 8-bed surgical stepdown unit as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams using EPIC for patient documentation.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort for up to 3-5 patients per nurse in stepdown, balancing acuity and workload.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
• Proficient in reading telemetry strips and managing complex monitoring devices.
• Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Ability to work rotating day shifts or dedicated night shifts with flexible scheduling.
