Deliver expert nursing care in a dynamic orthopedic surgical unit located in Littleton, CO. This contract role offers the opportunity to engage with a dedicated team focused on quality patient outcomes and positive experiences within a busy hospital setting.
Key qualifications for this position include:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with medical-surgical expertise
- Ability to independently manage care for five patients
- Experience in surgical or orthopedic nursing preferred
- Skills in pain management and orthopedic procedures considered an advantage
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork capabilities are essential
Work Environment and Responsibilities:
- Unit size: 20 beds with a nursing staff ratio of 1:5
- Night shift hours from 7 PM to 7 AM, with a team consisting of one charge nurse and four nurses per shift
- Duties encompass routine dressing changes, aspirations, and comprehensive patient care tailored to elective orthopedic and trauma patients
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and communication
