This position offers an opportunity to work in a specialized medical-surgical unit focused on orthopedic care. The unit consists of 20 beds with a nursing staff ratio of 1:5, including day and night shift charge nurses and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care. The work environment emphasizes teamwork and a positive attitude, supporting a quality-driven patient experience.
Location:
Situated in Littleton, CO, this role is based at a main hospital known for its diverse patient population and orthopedic specialty services. The facility uses Meditech EMR systems and maintains a supportive, collaborative work culture aimed at delivering excellent patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with medical-surgical experience
- Ability to independently manage care for five patients
- Experience on a surgical or orthopedic unit preferred
- Pain management and orthopedic experience are advantageous
- Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic and surgical patients
- Perform procedures such as dressing changes and aspirations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care
- Adhere to unit policies and maintain patient safety and care quality
Schedule:
- Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM
