Advance your nursing career in a contract position supporting medical-surgical patients at a busy healthcare facility. Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 18:4507:15
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call shifts
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Prior experience specifically in MS units required
- Complete immunization titers in hand at submission
- Comfortable with a patient ratio of 6:1
- Must be willing to float to other MS units as needed
- Experience with MEDHOST EMR systems preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to adult patients within a 40-bed unit
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the MEDHOST EMR
- Adhere to facility protocols and uphold a high standard of safety and infection control
- Wear royal blue scrubs in compliance with department requirements
Additional Details:
- No 48-hour workweeks
- Requests for time off must be limited to a maximum of 3 days (not during the entire spring break)
- Travel professionals must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
