Seeking an experienced RN with a Med Surg background to provide compassionate care in a dynamic medical-surgical unit. This is a 13-week contract opportunity working night shifts (7:00 PM7:30 AM), with guaranteed weekly hours of either 36 or 48, as discussed during submission. Weekend hours are scheduled as required, typically every other weekend. Orientation will take place during day shifts, and the nurse must be available for orientation week.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license, eligible for or holding current Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient Med Surg experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA preferred
• Demonstrated teamwork and adaptability in a diverse healthcare environment
• Comfortable floating to other units based on facility needs
• Compliance with seasonal flu vaccination (no declinations accepted from November 1-April 1 unless Mercy-approved exemption)
• Willingness to follow the unit's black scrub dress code

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality direct patient care to Medical-Surgical patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Conduct assessments, plan and implement care, monitor patient progress, and evaluate outcomes
• Utilize clinical equipment such as Alaris IV pumps, Nova Meters, Kangaroo pumps, and SCD machines
• Maintain professional accountability and uphold patient confidentiality
• Provide care in alignment with facility mission, values, and state nursing practice standards
• Supervise and evaluate care delivered by other caregivers
• Respond flexibly to assignment on various units, as staffing requires
