Job Description
Seeking experienced RNs to provide exceptional care on a Neuro Medical-Surgical unit for a 13-week contract on night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Enjoy a flexible 36- or 48-hour weekly schedule and the opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals in an established healthcare environment.
Schedule
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
- Guaranteed 36 or 48 hours per week (preference indicated on submission)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Orientation week on days, full availability required
Qualifications
- Active RN license, qualifying for practice in Missouri
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 1 year recent inpatient Med-Surg experience
- Preferred: 1 year Neuro experience, ACLS certification (AHA)
- Willingness to float to similar/lower acuity units as needed
- Adherence to black scrub dress code
- Flu vaccination (or Mercy-approved exemption) required during flu season
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate patient care with interdepartmental teams to optimize outcomes and patient comfort
- Maintain professional accountability and ensure adherence to nursing standards and patient confidentiality
- Evaluate effectiveness of care by self and others, providing guidance for patient safety
- Engage in patient-centered communication aligning with the facilitys mission and values
- Physical duties include frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting with patient mobility
