This contract opportunity is based in Englewood, CO, providing you the chance to work with a diverse patient population including elective orthopedic and orthopedic trauma cases. The unit maintains a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, supporting manageable caseloads and collaborative teamwork.

The healthcare facility is located within a main hospital building, equipped with modern amenities and advanced EMR systems like Meditech, ensuring efficient clinical workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage care for up to 5 patients on the surgical orthopedic unit
- Perform dressing changes and aspirations as required
- Collaborate closely with charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Apply pain management and orthopedic care knowledge to provide targeted treatment
- Adhere strictly to unit guidelines and uphold patient safety standards
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with proven experience in surgical units, particularly orthopedics preferred
- Ability to confidently care for multiple patients with a positive, team-oriented approach
- Familiarity with pain management techniques is advantageous
- Strong clinical skills in performing dressing changes and aspiration procedures
- Adaptable and proactive with a commitment to quality patient care
