Provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic orthopedic surgical unit located in Denver, CO. This contract role involves delivering high-quality patient care during the night shift, focusing on both elective orthopedic and orthopedic trauma patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage and care for up to 5 surgical orthopedic patients per shift.
  • Perform dressing changes and aspirations as part of routine patient care.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Follow unit guidelines and protocols to maintain safety and compliance.
  • Contribute positively to team communication and patient experience initiatives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with experience in surgical and orthopedic nursing.
  • Ability to work independently and handle a 1:5 patient nurse ratio effectively.
  • Experience with Meditech EMR system preferred.
  • Pain management expertise and orthopedic experience are advantageous.
  • Strong teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and adaptability.

Schedule:

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
