This travel nursing opportunity is based in Charlevoix, MI, offering a dynamic role on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit that serves a diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke care. The unit is known for its fast pace and strong emphasis on patient safety, quality care, and positive outcomes.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, applying the Clinical Practice Model and Caring-Quality Model, pursuing continuous professional growth, demonstrating leadership and serving as a clinical resource, and maintaining effective communication using tools like SBAR. Time management skills and teamwork are essential to support overall unit performance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license with Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Ability to assess and respond to complex patient needs holistically
- Commitment to evidence-based nursing practice and lifelong learning
