Deliver exceptional patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit located in Boyne City, MI. This travel nursing opportunity offers experience with a diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma care, and stroke management. The unit prioritizes patient-centered care, safety, and quality outcomes supported by an engaged, collaborative interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care grounded in physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual assessments.
- Use clinical pathways, patient education, and effective communication to address all aspects of care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a team-oriented environment that promotes evidence-based and holistic nursing practices.
- Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model, demonstrating leadership by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
- Maintain effective communication using SBAR and foster strong interdisciplinary relationships.
- Manage time efficiently to enhance team productivity and contribute to positive patient outcomes.
- Adhere to unit-specific competency-based objectives and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with proficiency in Medical-Surgical nursing.
- Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning through certifications or advanced education.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt in a challenging environment and provide patient-centered care.
- Compliance with a stringent attendance policy requiring punctuality; absence or lateness (over 20 minutes) on three occasions may result in immediate termination unless extenuating circumstances are supported by documentation.
