This contract opportunity on a 30-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit focuses on acute care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical diagnoses. Your experience and clinical acumen will be valued as part of a resource-rich, collaborative team.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Rotating weekends: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday rotation: 1 shift for each major holiday per cycle

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years MedSurg/Telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with basic cardiac rhythm assessment (EKG rhythm exam completed during onboarding)
• ACLS and medical-surgical certification nursing preferred
• First-time travelers with the required skillset are encouraged to apply

Skills & Experience Desired:

• Advanced assessment and care for cardiac/step-down patients (CHF, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, sepsis)
• Competency with trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, IV care, central line management, insulin/heparin drips
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, telemetry interpretation, and wound/post-op care
• Strong coordination skills for discharge planning and interdisciplinary communication
• Familiarity with EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Philips monitors

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based bedside care with an RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Manage telemetry and complex med-surg cases within a supportive, high-acuity environment
• Actively participate in patient education, fluid/renal management, and ongoing care planning
• Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, resource teams, and allied health professionals
