Position Details:
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekly Hours: Choose between 36 or 48 hours (must be indicated on submission)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend as required
- Call: None
- Float: May be assigned to other units based on staffing needs
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN license eligible or licensed in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year inpatient Med Surg experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from AHA
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for diverse med-surg patients
- Utilize nursing processes in alignment with state practice acts and facility standards
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional accountability
- Adapt to physical demands including patient mobility assistance, bending, and prolonged standing
- Use equipment such as Nova Meters, Alaris IV pumps, and Electronic Medical Records (EPIC)
