An opportunity is available for a dedicated Registered Nurse with Med-Surg experience to contribute to a busy orthopedic surgical unit in Aurora, CO. This contract position offers the chance to provide exceptional patient care on a 20-bed unit specializing in elective orthopedic and trauma patients, supporting a team focused on quality outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Location Overview:
Situated within a major hospital on East Hampden Avenue, this unit operates on the 9th South floor, featuring a supportive environment with a 1:5 nursing ratio. The hospital uses Meditech EMR systems and emphasizes collaboration among its staff to maintain high standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a patient load of five individuals
• Perform typical surgical unit procedures, including dressing changes and aspiration
• Deliver effective pain management and contribute to orthopedic patient care
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure positive patient experiences and outcomes
• Adhere to unit policies and guidelines to maintain quality and safety standards

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with Med-Surg (MS ORTHO) experience required
• Prior experience on surgical or orthopedic units preferred
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle multiple patients confidently
• Pain management and orthopedic patient care experience are advantageous
• Strong team player with a positive attitude is essential

Schedule:

• Night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM
