Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in orthopedic care to join a dedicated surgical unit on a 7PM-7AM shift in Arvada, CO. This contract position offers the chance to work within a highly collaborative and skilled nursing team providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population, including elective orthopedic and trauma cases.
Location: Situated in Arvada, CO, this role is based at a main hospital facility known for its supportive environment and commitment to quality healthcare. The orthopedic surgical unit features 20 beds with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, fostering an ideal setting for attentive and thorough patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage care for up to 5 patients during the night shift
- Perform orthopedic-specific procedures such as dressing changes and aspirations
- Collaborate with charge nurses and fellow nursing staff to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
- Deliver compassionate pain management and postoperative care to orthopedic patients
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with proven orthopedic surgical unit experience
- Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
- Prior experience with pain management and orthopedic nursing highly preferred
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork within a dynamic unit
Schedule:
- Night Shift: 7PM to 7AM
