This 13-week contract role offers the opportunity to work night shifts alongside skilled professionals, utilizing the nursing process to care for diverse age groups and supporting a culture of collaboration and compassion.
Schedule:
- Night shifts, 1900-0730
- 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must specify upon application)
- Every other weekend required
- Orientation on day shifts (traveler must be available for the entire week)
- Floating to similar/lower acuity units as needed
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Missouri, or eligibility to obtain
- BLS certification by American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory
- ACLS from AHA preferred
- At least 1 year inpatient Med Surg RN experience required; 1 year Neuro experience highly desirable
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Proof of flu vaccination (November 1April 1), or Mercy-approved exemption (declinations not accepted)
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with patient lifts throughout shift
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care for post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidity patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and hospital values at all times
- Adapt to changing patient volumes, workload, and schedules as needed
