Deliver skilled nursing care in a dynamic hospital setting focused on Medical/Surgical and Telemetry patients. This opportunity requires an adaptable professional ready to work across multiple patient care areas, including occasional support to Emergency, ICU, and Obstetrics departments.

Location Overview: Based in Acampo, CA, this role places you in a community-focused healthcare environment that balances quality patient care with teamwork across diverse specialty areas. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg and Telemetry patients with ratios of 5:1 and 4:1 respectively.
• Float as needed according to union contract to Med/Surg and Telemetry departments.
• Task in additional units including Emergency Department, ICU, and Obstetrics.
• Utilize Pyxis medication system and document care using Cerner.
• Participate in call rotations and support weekend coverage approximately every other weekend.
• Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists who provide continuous medical coverage.
• Adhere to strict time-off request guidelines prioritizing hospital staffing needs.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active RN license with Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience.
• Comfortable working in flexible assignments and multi-departmental float roles.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, particularly Cerner.
• Ability to manage diverse patient populations including critical care and med/surg.
• Commitment to patient safety and teamwork.

Schedule:

• Dayshift primarily Monday through Friday; IV teams and transportation operate weekdays.
• Call participation required.
• Weekend rotations roughly every other weekend.

Contract Details:

• This is a contract position requiring flexibility and commitment to coverage needs.
• Must be able to take Med/Surg/Telemetry assignments and float per union guidelines.
