Job Description

Based in Webster, NY, this contract nursing role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic pre/post interventional radiology department within a level 1 Trauma center. The fast-paced environment serves both inpatient and outpatient populations spanning all ages, providing critical care before, during, and after various radiological procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures and provide post-procedural recovery care, including overnight observation.
  • Care for patients undergoing CT scans, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine scans, X-rays, and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Manage patients boarding overnight pre- or post-procedure in a 23-hour care setting.
  • Apply strong critical thinking and communication skills to assess and respond to patient needs.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse in interventional radiology.
  • Telemetry experience is required.
  • Familiarity with medical/surgical nursing is preferred.
  • Experience with gastrointestinal post-procedural care is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Current New York State RN license.
  • Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
