Job Description

Embark on a dynamic opportunity as a Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology (IR). This position offers a unique chance to work within both IR and Cath Lab settings, supporting complex cases and providing critical care to patients during their pre- and post-operative phases.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week contract duration
  • Variable 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, with start times at 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. based on facility needs
  • On-call requirement every 34 days during the workweek (MondayFriday) and every 3rd to 4th weekend
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum two years of experience in Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab settings
  • Demonstrated excellence in patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, sedation, and post-procedure care
  • Strong organizational abilities and time management skills
  • Commitment to hourly rounding to ensure attentive patient care
  • Proven team player with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Candidates with 23+ years of IR/Cath Lab experience, Meditech EMR familiarity, or background in a 200+ bed hospital are especially encouraged to apply

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pre- and post-op care for IR and vascular patients
  • Monitor patient vitals and deliver sedation during procedures
  • Chart all procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Assist physicians and team members with direct patient care
  • Adapt to float between IR and Cath Lab areas as required
  • Maintain a consistent standard of compassionate and patient-focused nursing
