Professionally, youll have the chance to collaborate with seasoned clinicians in a cutting-edge 12-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit. This unit specializes in caring for critically ill neurological patients, including those dealing with traumatic brain injuries, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other complex neurologic conditions. Exposure to innovative treatments and advanced nursing practices will enhance your skills, elevate your clinical understanding, and allow you to witness a range of patient cases that will set your resume apart.
Requirements:
- Active NY Registered Nurse license (NY license required)
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN in ICU acute care
- Proven proficiency in telemetry monitoring
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
- Up-to-date knowledge in critical care nursing
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill neuro patients in the ICU
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and document vital signs, administer medications, and operate advanced life-support equipment
- Ensure patient and family education and support throughout the care continuum
- Remain vigilant, adaptable, and responsive to changing patient conditions
