Key Responsibilities:
- Implement the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of ICU patients
- Supervise and direct the activities of assigned nursing staff, providing mentorship and support as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate quality care and optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize critical thinking and independent judgment in making decisions related to patient care and staff supervision
- Ensure adherence to established standards of care, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines
- Accurately document all aspects of care, maintaining precise patient records
- For Float Pool nurses: properly clock in to the specific unit where you are assigned to work
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted RN license
- Demonstrated experience in an ICU setting, proficient in advanced nursing procedures and monitoring
- Strong leadership abilities and prior supervisory experience preferred
- Proficiency with patient assessment, critical care interventions, and workload prioritization
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to best practices in patient safety
