Job Description

An excellent opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing. In this contract position, you will deliver coordinated care to an assigned group of patients, adhering to established standards and the nursing process. Utilizing your strong clinical assessment and leadership abilities, youll supervise and guide nursing staff at various levels, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract-based position

Qualifications & Desired Background:

  • Current valid RN license
  • Prior experience in ICU or critical care settings strongly preferred
  • Competency in the use of critical thinking and independent clinical judgment
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to direct and evaluate the activities of other nursing staff members
  • Experience in float pool environments is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, monitoring and addressing complex health conditions in the ICU
  • Implement the nursing process for assigned patientsincluding assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
  • Supervise, delegate, and mentor nursing staff to ensure compliance with hospital standards
  • Coordinate care seamlessly with medical, surgical, and allied health professionals
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for optimal continuity of care
  • Support assigned education or administrative activities within the float pool, as needed
