Job Description

As an experienced RN with expertise in ICU care, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-acuity, comprehensive nursing services to patients facing critical medical conditions. In this contract role, youll utilize advanced clinical judgment and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best possible outcomes for each patient.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in accordance with established standards and protocols for critical care nursing.
  • Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing complex assessments for patients experiencing shock, trauma, or other life-threatening conditions.
  • Supervising and providing guidance to multiple levels of nursing staff, ensuring effective delegation and continuity of care.
  • Employing critical thinking and strong communication skills to coordinate care with physicians and allied health professionals across specialties.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and clear patient records using established charting systems.
  • Responding rapidly and appropriately to changes in patient status, utilizing advanced knowledge and technology to provide life-sustaining interventions as needed.
  • Ensuring adherence to all safety and infection control procedures to protect patients and clinical staff.

Qualifications and desired experience:

  • Current and unrestricted RN license.
  • At least 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience, handling high-acuity cases.
  • Strong clinical knowledge in the care of medical (non-surgical) ICU patients.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and prior experience supervising or mentoring nursing staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (required).
