Job Description
Take on a vital role providing specialized care in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit setting. This contract position is ideal for an experienced RN who excels in cardiac and ICU-level care and enjoys a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract-based assignment; specific scheduling details will be provided during the interview process.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license with current New York State Registration.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Cardiac/ICU care.
- Minimum of 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a facility similar in size and scope.
- Current BLS certification, with the ability to be recertified as needed.
- Proficient in administering and monitoring moderate sedation medications.
- Experience preparing and recovering procedural patients and monitoring airways.
- Previous experience in hospitals of equal/greater size or trauma centers required for travelers.
- EPIC Electronic Medical Records proficiency preferred.
- Stellar interpersonal and communication skills.
- Clean professional recordno license/certification suspensions, investigations, or involvement in professional liability claims.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and successful completion of pre-employment health clearance.
- Willingness to complete drug screening and background check.
Preferred Certifications/Experience:
- ACLS, NNLS, EFM, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
- Telemetry, triage, ambulatory/primary care
- Medical coding/insurance review experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient care in the ICU, utilizing advanced assessments, monitoring, and intervention skills with minimal supervision.
- Administer medications, manage sedation, and monitor patients before and after procedures.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of patient outcomes.
- Accurately document using electronic medical records and participate in patient education as needed.
