An opportunity is available for a registered nurse with emergency room experience to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic emergency care setting. This contract position involves working closely with healthcare professionals and delivering care that demonstrates initiative, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Location: Vaughn, MT

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the emergency department.
• Safely and accurately triage patients based on physical and psychosocial needs.
• Communicate effectively with ER physicians and mid-level providers about patient status, symptoms, and diagnostic outcomes.
• Respond promptly and accurately to changes in patient condition or treatment response.
• Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, allied health staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise emergency department technicians, registration staff, and allied health personnel.
• Follow guidance from Emergency Department Director, physicians, mid-level providers, and Director of Nursing.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Degree from an accredited nursing program required.
• Current Montana State RN license.
• Minimum two years of emergency room nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), either current or to be obtained within six months of hire.
• Sound knowledge of emergency department nursing principles and procedures.
• Proficiency with IV skills and operation of manual and electronic medical equipment.
• Competency in patient assessment.
• Basic office and computer skills.

Schedule:

• 3 shifts of 12 hours each (11 a.m. to 11 p.m.), including some weekends.
