A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room to provide critical patient care in a supportive, dynamic environment. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in a critical access center.
  • Emergency Room background preferred over medical-surgical unit experience.
  • Valid BLS and ACLS certifications; CPI/MOAB, TNCC, NRP, and PALS are preferred.
  • Strong IV skills, chest tube setup, triage, wound care, splints/casting assistance, physical assessments, and medication administration familiarity.
  • Experience or comfort performing ER registration utilizing Meditech EMR system.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide care for patients in a small ER environment with 3 ER beds and 5 medical-surgical beds.
  • Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1:3 and collaborate closely with CNAs/HUCs and charge nurses.
  • Perform physical assessments, manage diverse patient diagnoses including respiratory, cardiac, and metabolic conditions.
  • Support efficient ER registration processes during night shifts.
  • Work a 12-hour shift schedule rotating every other weekend and holiday with no on-call duties.
