In this contract role, you will provide coordinated nursing care for patients or groups of patients in accordance with established nursing standards and the nursing process. As a registered nurse specializing in emergency services, you'll supervise and guide assigned nursing staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and employing sound clinical judgment every step of the way.
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract role with varying shifts to support emergency services and float pool coverage
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Demonstrated experience in emergency room (ER) nursing
- Advanced critical thinking and proven leadership abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate care across multiple disciplines
- Ability to supervise, mentor, and direct the activities of support and float pool nursing staff
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established nursing processes
- Oversee and direct the work of nursing staff within the assigned emergency department or float pool area
- Coordinate patient care with physicians and members of multidisciplinary teams
- Make informed decisions using independent judgment and supervisory discretion
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards and safety protocols
- Support float pool operations, including appropriate clock-in procedures for various units
