A healthcare role is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Emergency Room care, located in San Benito, TX. This contract position places you in a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department setting, where your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a high-acuity environment
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS (TNCC preferred)
• Strong triage and critical thinking abilities
• Experience managing trauma and cardiac alert patients, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis cases
• Preferred: Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertions, medication administration, EKGs, wound care, and splinting
• Provide moderate sedation and assist with advanced interventions including intubation, CPR, and rapid sequence intubation
• Deliver comprehensive care for stroke, STEMI, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health patients
• Coordinate transport preparation for patients requiring higher levels of care
• Triage assessments prioritizing care based on ESI guidelines
• Adhere to isolation and infection control protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in a fast-paced environment

Schedule:

• Two weekends per schedule rotation
• No on-call responsibilities

Work Environment: The Emergency Department consists of 22 beds staffed by approximately 55 healthcare professionals working across day and night shifts, ensuring a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere. Patient ratios typically remain at 4:1, facilitating focused care delivery.
