A rewarding nursing opportunity awaits those with emergency room experience and a passion for high-quality patient care. This contract position focuses on providing exceptional nursing services in a fast-paced ER environment, utilizing both critical thinking and clinical skills.

Schedule:

• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Four weeks of night shifts followed by four weeks of day shifts (or vice versa), in a rotating schedule

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license, valid in Massachusetts
• Minimum of one year recent Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong assessment, triage, and communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in urgent and rapidly changing situations
• Flexible with alternating shift rotations

Responsibilities:

• Assess, prioritize, and provide direct care to patients presenting with a broad range of emergency conditions
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare team members
• Perform ongoing patient monitoring, vital sign assessment, and timely interventions
• Accurately document patient care activities and responses within medical records
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment, medications, and follow-up care
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgement while adhering to best practices and established protocols
