An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise to serve a busy 22-bed Emergency Department in La Feria, TX. This contract role is perfect for an experienced RN who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include performing critical nursing procedures such as IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, wound care, and supporting moderate sedation and advanced airway management. You will play a key role in caring for patients experiencing STEMI, stroke, sepsis, trauma, and behavioral health emergencies while utilizing strong triage and critical thinking skills to prioritize care efficiently. Electronic medical record documentation via Meditech is part of daily operations.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience in a high-acuity setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred
• Proficient in trauma and cardiac alert patient care including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis management
• Strong triage assessment abilities with knowledge of Emergency Severity Index guidelines
• Experience with Meditech documentation system is preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus but not required
• Team-oriented, reliable, punctual, and compassionate with a strong work ethic

Schedule and Location:

• Two weekends per schedule required; no on-call responsibilities
• The unit operates shifts with dedicated day and night teams
