An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Emergency Room experience to provide comprehensive nursing care in an Urgent Care setting. The role involves performing full patient assessments, prioritizing needs, coordinating care, and working collaboratively with a nursing team. This position requires critical thinking to manage patient flow efficiently, including triage and telephone assessment services, while delivering compassionate and evidence-based care to patients of all ages.

This role is based in Juneau, Alaska, a picturesque city known for its stunning natural landscapes, vibrant arts scene, and access to outdoor adventures such as hiking and boating. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough initial patient assessments and triage in the urgent care clinic and via telephone.
- Administer medications and therapeutic treatments under provider direction, including IV therapy and specialized equipment use.
- Document patient care accurately, including interventions and education provided.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up care within and outside the health system.
- Participate actively in clinical team development and quality improvement efforts.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and fulfill other nursing duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program and eligible for NCLEX.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska or a U.S. state (Alaska license required prior to start for direct hires).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in ambulatory or urgent care settings.
- Ability to perform life-saving procedures, prioritize patient care, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform clinical duties involving patient care.
