Job Description

An opportunity is available to provide expert nursing care in a dynamic emergency room setting. This role requires a licensed registered nurse skilled in emergency nursing who can deliver both direct and supportive patient care efficiently and compassionately. The position emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and a high standard of patient-centered service.

Responsibilities include triaging patients rapidly and accurately, communicating effectively with physicians and mid-level providers regarding patient status and diagnostic findings, and responding promptly to any changes in patient conditions. The nurse will also collaborate closely with families, allied health staff, and emergency department personnel, providing guidance to department techs and registration staff as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

  • Degree from an accredited nursing program (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an emergency room setting
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
  • Current Montana State RN license
  • Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC
  • Strong knowledge of emergency nursing principles, patient assessment, IV skills, and medical equipment operation
  • Basic computer proficiency and office skills

Schedule

  • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (11 AM to 11 PM), including some weekends
