Job Description

Deliver critical and compassionate care to patients in a dynamic emergency department setting. As an integral part of an interdisciplinary team of caregivers, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients and their families receive individualized, safe, and high-quality care. This contract position offers the opportunity to work within an environment guided by strong leadership, shared governance, and evidence-based practice.

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts may be required depending on department needs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active RN license in the state of Georgia
• Minimum of one year of recent emergency room nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and PALS certification preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical-thinking skills
• Commitment to upholding ethical standards and patient advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other nurses to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care
• Triage and assess patient needs, promptly recognizing acute changes in condition
• Implement evidence-based nursing interventions and evaluate patient responses to care
• Document accurately and timely within the medical record system
• Uphold departmental and facility policies, while contributing to ongoing quality and service excellence
• Actively participate in staff meetings, training, and shared governance activities
• Foster a supportive environment for patients families and significant others
