Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time, contract-based position
- Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays, dependent on department needs
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted RN license in the state of Georgia
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Room nursing experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional certifications such as PALS or TNCC are a plus)
- Thorough understanding of applicable nursing practices per the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational abilities
- Commitment to upholding ANA Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based, compassionate care to ER patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute patient-centered care plans
- Advocate for the voices and needs of patients and their families
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Adhere to hospital policies, shared governance, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support service excellence and uphold best practices
