Job Description

A nursing professional with dialysis expertise is needed to provide exceptional patient care and support in a dynamic clinic setting. This contract position focuses on the management and delivery of care to patients receiving dialysis, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of dialysis treatments and monitor patient health outcomes
  • Provide patient education regarding dialysis care and self-management
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of Dialysis Technicians
  • Adjust treatment plans in accordance with standing orders and individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and perform clinical assessments as needed
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams including social workers, dietitians, and nephrologists

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing or Multi-State Compact Nurse license
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) with Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
  • Previous dialysis nursing experience is required
  • Experience in acute or ambulatory care preferred

Schedule and Location:

  • Ability to work any shift, morning or afternoon, Monday through Saturday
  • Must be willing and able to work at multiple clinic locations within the peninsula area, including Poulsbo, Bremerton, Port Orchard, and Port Townsend, Washington
