Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing. This role focuses on delivering high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. The position operates on a contract basis and offers a consistent weekday schedule with valuable on-call experience.

Location: Nashville, TN

Schedule:

  • 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
  • On-call rotation: one week every third week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular surgeries
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members
  • Maintain sterile technique and operate specialized equipment in the CVOR setting
  • Document patient care accurately and promptly

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Proven experience in Cardiovascular Operating Room nursing or relevant perioperative environments
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and patient care protocols
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and respond to emergencies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
