Job Description

Reporting to the Department Manager and Clinical Coordinator, you will utilize advanced nursing knowledge in a fast-paced setting, ensuring holistic care for patients and supporting their families throughout the surgical experience.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Full-time
  • Weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotation required

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license
  • Demonstrated experience as a Cardiovascular OR nurse
  • Proficient in circulating and/or surgical tech roles during high-volume surgery periods
  • Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse patient populations
  • Experience prioritizing and guiding surgical team members in urgent and emergent situations
  • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care tailored to biological, emotional, developmental, and educational needs
  • Coordinate and prioritize activities within the surgical suite, especially in urgent or life-saving scenarios
  • Serve as a role model and team leader, assisting fellow staff in their clinical and organizational roles
  • Support staff and self-development initiatives
  • Carry out duties as a circulator or surgical tech during peak periods
  • Fulfill call responsibilities per scheduling requirements
  • Take on charge nurse responsibilities as needed
