Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced CVOR RN to support adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patients in a highly specialized surgical environment. This contract position offers day and evening shift rotations, with flexible scheduling options including combinations of 8-hour, 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts. The role demands at least 2 years of CVOR nursing experience, preferably with previous travel assignments, and strong scrub skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care to adult cardiac surgery patients, including complex and high-acuity cases such as cardiac transplants, ECMO, VAD support, thoracic surgeries, and vascular procedures.
  • Participate actively in surgical scrub duties, demonstrating proficient technical skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Fulfill call requirements with 2-4 weeknight shifts and 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule; call shifts do not exceed 12 hours.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Nurse with current licensure.
  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience focused on adult cardiac, vascular, and thoracic cases.
  • Prior travel nursing experience is preferred.
  • Strong scrub experience with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Ability to work day and evening rotating shifts as scheduled.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Rotating day (06:30-14:30) and evening (14:30-22:30) shifts, with options for 2x8 and 2x12-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts.
  • On-call rotation involving weeknights and weekends with favorable scheduling patterns.
