A specialized opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with expertise in Cardiovascular and Pediatric Intensive Care to join a leading Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and complex cardiac conditions
- Manage patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 based on acuity during 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Administer and monitor specialized therapies, including ECMO, CRRT, Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), and post-operative cardiac support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain compliance with all clinical policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support unit needs through floating as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active South Carolina or Multi-State Compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience
- Certifications required: PALS, BLS (American Heart Association)
- Preferred certification: ACLS (American Heart Association)
- VAD experience highly desirable
- Ability to work 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts, including 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule with holiday rotations
- Willingness to adhere to block scheduling as needed
