Advance your nursing career by providing specialized care in a prestigious Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) located in Charleston, SC. This contract role invites experienced Registered Nurses with a passion for pediatric cardiac care to contribute to a Gold Beacon Award-winning unit recognized nationally for exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care to pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions including congenital heart disease, postoperative cardiac surgery, Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD), heart transplants, and cardiac catheterization.
• Manage critically ill children requiring advanced support such as ventilatory assistance, ECMO, and CRRT.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including respiratory therapists, dietitians, and pharmacists to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain stringent 1:1 or 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratios based on acuity across a 29-bed, fully monitored unit.
• Adhere to facility protocols utilizing EPIC for patient charting.
• Work a night shift schedule of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), including four weekend shifts within a four-week rotation and holiday coverage.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum two years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU nursing experience, with cardiovascular and pediatric expertise essential.
• Preferred experience with Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) patients.
• Valid SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• American Heart Association certifications in PALS and BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• First-time PCICU nurses are welcome to apply.
• Ability to work within a 60-mile radius of Charleston, SC, with local candidates encouraged.
