Work alongside a high-performing cardiovascular intensive care team within a welcoming and supportive environment. This opportunity allows you to gain hands-on experience in a 19-bed mixed CVICU/CVRU, where clinical excellence and mentorship are prioritized. Youll collaborate with a dynamic nursing staff, free charge nurses, and a dedicated educational support system, further cultivating your expertise in complex cardiac care. Exposure to the latest care modalities and state-of-the-art equipment ensures your role is both rewarding and deeply impactful.

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotating every other weekend
• Days and nights available
• Extra days off accommodated within contract

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Minimum two years' recent experience in CVICU or CVRU
• Solid critical care training and passion for surgical heart care
• Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care highly preferred
• Energetic, adaptable, and collaborative with a strong desire for continual learning

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to post-heart surgery patients and those requiring advanced cardiac support devices (IABP, IMPELLA, LVADS, etc.)
• Manage hemodynamics, ambulation, chest tube pulls, pacer wire pulls, and intubation/extubation
• Float to ICUs and step-down units as patient census requires
• Adhere to unit guidelines and policies for optimal safety and patient outcomes
