Schedule/Hours:
- Day Shift
- On-Call Rotation (weeknights, weekends, and holidays)
Required Qualifications:
- Current IL RN licensure (IDFPR)
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Minimum of 3 years RN experience, including at least 1 year in critical care
- Cath Lab/Cardiovascular Intervention experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- NIHSS certification
- Successful completion of EKG test before orientation ends
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply critical thinking and nursing process in patient care, collaborating closely with all clinical teams
- Conduct patient assessments, plan and evaluate individualized care, and administer prescribed treatments
- Ensure thorough and accurate documentation per policy and standards
- Educate patients and families, advocating for their understanding and participation in care
- Support and engage in continuous learning, including participation in peer review and development of evidence-based practices
- Facilitate smooth patient flow and telephone triage as needed
- Actively participate in quality improvement and shared governance initiatives
