Working as a travel nurse specializing in the ORT discipline at a dynamic level 3 trauma center, you'll expand your clinical skill set alongside professionals who bring a variety of perspectives to patient care. Schedule:

  • Day shift: Monday through Friday, 4x10 hour shifts (7am-5:30pm)
  • On-call one weekday at the end of shift (5:50pm7am) per week
  • On-call one 24-hour weekend day (Saturday or Sunday, 7am7am) every five weeks
  • 30-minute call response time required

Core Qualifications:

  • Current and active RN license with experience in operating room nursing (ORT)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar ORT or surgical tech travel nursing role preferred
  • BLS certification (other certifications as required by practice area)
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills
  • Able to respond to calls within a 30-minute window

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and anesthesia staff during operative procedures in a level 3 trauma environment
  • Maintain sterility and ensure best practices in OR protocol
  • Prepare operating rooms and patient care areas
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
  • Participate in on-call rotation with a commitment to timely response
