An opportunity is available for a skilled nurse with experience in Operating Room Technology (ORT) to support surgical services in a well-regarded healthcare setting. This contract role offers the chance to work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment known for quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to maintain sterile fields and efficient operating room flow
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery
- Document nursing care accurately and comply with hospital policies and regulations
Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license with current certification in Operating Room Technology or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to function effectively in a surgical team
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, maintaining focus and professionalism throughout
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
