Qualifications:

• Certification or relevant training as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
• Proven experience as a First Assist Tech in surgical settings
• Familiarity with surgical instrumentation, sterile techniques, and operating room protocols
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Current BLS/CPR certification (required)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons directly during operations as a First Assist Tech, supporting tissue handling, suturing, and maintaining clear operative fields
• Maintain accurate counts of surgical tools and supplies to ensure safety
• Uphold sterile technique throughout every phase of the procedure
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure seamless communication and patient care
• Adhere to facility safety policies and procedures to minimize risk of infection or complications
