Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role is available in a skilled nursing facility setting, providing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position focuses on delivering tailored patient care within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring the well-being of residents through comprehensive assessment and medication administration consistent with the LPN scope of practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute designated nursing duties under RN supervision.
  • Contribute to creating and implementing individualized care plans addressing biophysical, psychosocial, and age-specific needs.
  • Monitor and report patient status and any abnormal findings promptly.
  • Administer medications following established policies.
  • Accurately document patient status and care activities according to facility protocols and regulations.
  • Maintain necessary educational requirements per the Board of Nursing.
  • Perform additional duties aligned with LPN practice scope as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a state-accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Valid North Carolina LPN license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong ability to interpret safety and procedural documentation.
  • Competent in writing routine reports and handling mathematical calculations relevant to nursing tasks.
  • Practical problem-solving skills and ability to follow diverse instructions.

Schedule & Location:

  • Contract duration from early November to early February.
  • 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts.
  • Located in Summerfield, NC, a community known for its serene environment and close-knit neighborhoods, offering a balanced lifestyle with convenient access to urban amenities and natural attractions.
