Job Description

An opportunity is available for a skilled CVOR Technician to support a dynamic Operating Room team in Rochester, NY. This contract position involves working in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary surgical environment, caring for a diverse patient population with specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neurovascular, ophthalmic, gynecology, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center equipped with advanced technology, including two DaVinci surgical robots used across multiple specialties. Additionally, the transplant program handles liver, kidney, and heart transplants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist as a scrub and circulator in various surgical procedures within the CVOR setting
  • Support surgical teams during complex and high-risk cases, ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
  • Prepare and maintain operating room equipment and instruments, including robotic surgical systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • NBSTSA Surgical Technologist Certification OR a minimum of 10 years experience as a Surgical Technician
  • At least 2 years of experience in an Operating Room, with Level 1 trauma experience preferred
  • Proficient in scrubbing and circulating roles
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required
