This opportunity is for an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist to provide specialized surgical support in a dynamic clinical environment. The position involves assisting in surgical procedures involving neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring smooth and efficient cardiovascular operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scrub duties assisting surgeons during cardiovascular procedures
- Operate independently within established protocols and assigned tasks
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain sterility and patient safety
- Utilize sound judgment, maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism
- Maintain accurate records and demonstrate proficiency with computer systems
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (mandatory for hires post-2009)
- Minimum one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist with CVOR specialty experience
- Current BCLS certification required
- National certification preferred: NCCT, AST, or NBSTSA
- Strong keyboarding and computer skills
- Ability to manage a variety of patient age groups from neonate to geriatric
Schedule and Work Details:
- Primarily day shifts
- Four 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call responsibilities required
- Contract position with negotiable salary based on experience and certification
